We accomplish this by fostering a family-led public education system that

1. Promotes wholesomeness in schools and, ultimately, the world;
2. Orients children toward making stable life choices contributing to their happiness and well-being
3. Protects their innocence and virtue
4. Addresses bias in the public school system against Christian beliefs and values
5. Promotes fair representation of parents’ interests

1. Serve families as their primary focal point, not government interests
2. Follow and affirm parents’ goals for their children in particular and family values in general, especially in their moral, psychological and social development
3. Do not undermine or supplant parental rights with social norms espoused by the teacher or those of their school system

Why Do You Personally Care?

These days, however, public education seems oriented toward a different end, one that does not foster critical thinking but aims to indoctrinate children into misguided secular ideologies and replace, with ambiguity and indifference, traditional -- and true -- moral principles that promote human flourishing.

Moreover, public schools are undermining and supplanting the roles of parents, who should have the primary role in their edification.

While some Christian parents are perhaps unaware of the extent to which their children are being misled in public schools, others are concerned but feel limited in terms of how to intervene and effect change.

Given the critical role education plays in children’s development, and given that the public school system in this country is undermining the beliefs and values Christian parents seek to instill in their children, we believe that we must mount a collective effort to protect the innocence and virtue of future generations.

As parents, we've personally experienced the harm the public education system can sow in forming children. For example, consider a recent holiday article distributed to students that stated, "Friends are like families, and they may be better than the real ones . . . Researchers have studied this. They found that personal connections may be better for one's health and well-being than family relationships." Such statements undermining family bonds are common.
